Bill lingers another look at Mona and notices the ring on a necklace around her neck.
BILL
I hadn’t noticed that before.
MONA
Noticed what?
BILL
Your necklace.
She holds out the ring.
MONA
The stone is boulder opal.
BILL
Looks expensive.
MONA
It’s not actually. It is more of a reminder.
BILL
Of what?
MONA
(beat)
Of the past.
Romy leaves for the bathroom. On the projector, plays a scene with Irma in it. The audience member tells them to shoosh once more.
BILL
I am more like her.
She points to Irma recalling the trauma of the picnic (similar scene).
BILL
In what way?
MONA
I lost people in my life too.
BILL
Who exactly?
Romy comes back from the toilet.
ROMY
What did I miss?
MONA
Irma recalling her trauma.
(Through-Composed Music)
Mona, Bill and Romy head towards the warehouse.
ROMY
It was longer than I expected.
BILL
Tell me about it.
BILL
Why do we have to get the equipment tonight?
MONA
(beat)
Because we leave for Winton tomorrow.
